Hello Minna-san.
I have loads to blog about so bear with me, I'm still catching up from last week.
As part of my Explore Japan seminar, we had the chance to dress up in Kimono. We had to put on special socks and lots of different layers which never show in the end but this was the final result.

The woman who helped us do this said that Kimono looks better on fat people, and none of us were fat so she had to fold up a towel and tie it round our stomachs to bulk us up a tiny bit.

The female kimono are much more colourful but it also took them a lot longer to put them on. We were waiting for absolutely ages for the girls

These are the special socks we had to wear. It wasn't too uncomfortable but my sandals were too small.

The bad weather meant that we couldn't go outside to take photos in front of the trees on campus which was a massive shame but it did mean that we all had umbrellas and could pretend to be samurai which I think is completely wrong for what we were wearing but dressing up as samurai was not on the curriculum so we did it anyway.
